Marie Maslowski, a longtime staff member in the Department of Theatre and New Dance died July 17.
Maslowski was an administrative support coordinator the department for 20 years. She worked a total of 22 years on campus.
In her time at CPP, she supported thousands of students, hundreds of faculty, and fellow staff through major transitions, both personal and professional. She had a warmth and personal generosity that extended beyond just our department needs – she kept us going as artists, teachers, and humans.
Maslowski will be profoundly missed by her family, including her two children and four grandchildren, for whom she was a fountain of love and rock of support.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for her on Friday, Aug. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the University Theatre. Doors will open at 5.m. This will be a special memorial service for her Cal Poly Pomona community, hosted by the Department of Theatre & New Dance. All are welcome. There will be time for members of the community to step forward and say a few words. Light refreshments will be served.
