The Office of Undergraduate Research is seeking a talented individual to join the team as part of the STEM VISTA program. The exciting job opening is a unique opportunity for those looking to make a difference in the community by supporting and engaging with underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
STEM VISTA, short for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Volunteers in Service to America, is a national service program that aims to strengthen STEM education in underserved communities. VISTA members commit to serving full-time for one year and receive a living allowance, healthcare benefits, and an education award upon completion of their service.
The Office of Undergraduate Research’s STEM VISTA member will work with faculty and staff to develop and implement programs that increase the number of students participating in research, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. In addition, the VISTA member will assist with coordination of events, such as workshops, that promote undergraduate research and STEM education.

The Office of Undergraduate Research is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to engage in research and creative activities across all disciplines. The office’s mission is to empower students to become active participants in the creation of new knowledge and to provide support for faculty in their research and creative endeavors.
