CPP students train to be science teachers at JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory)

Are Oreos a good tool for teaching tectonics? Amie Gallardo (‘24, liberal studies), Sofia Vallejo (‘23, liberal studies), Afiya Kindle (‘23, political science), and Jacquelin Galvez-Coyt (‘23, liberal studies) are developing their skills in lesson design and delivery as they study Earth science concepts and prepare for careers teaching elementary and middle school students. They had the opportunity to work with Brandon Rodriguez, an educator professional development specialist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
