Gov. Gavin Newsom and leaders of the Senate and Assembly reached consensus on the 2022-23 state budget on June 27, demonstrating a significant investment in the CSU and its students. The CSU will receive $365 million that will be used for unallocated increases to the CSU, as well as for student enrollment, Graduation Initiative 2025, student basic needs, mental health services and systemwide campus specific priorities. In addition, the CSU received one-time funding totaling $1.1 billion which will be dedicated to one-time deferred maintenance and infrastructure needs, physical and programmatic improvements across the system and campus specific priorities.
