Provost Jennifer Brown has announced the recipients of the 2021-22 Provost’s Award for Excellence. The awardees must meet a high standard of excellence and expertise in their field. Paul Beardsley, professor of biological sciences, has been recognized for his teaching. Phyllis Nelson, an alumna and professor of electrical and computer engineering, has been acknowledged for her service. Wen Cheng, professor of civil engineering, has been chosen for his scholarly and creative activities. In May, they will be recognized at their college’s commencement ceremony. Save the date for the Provost’s Awards Symposium, which will take place October 6 from 3 to 5 p.m.
