Cal Poly Pomona’s Office of Student Success was featured for best practices in helping students persist to degree. After noticing a drop in enrollment among the “COVID cohorts,” staff used Billy Chat to reach out to students not yet enrolled to understand what was happening. Finding that students didn’t fully understand the registration process, they hosted a virtual queue for students to directly ask registration questions and opened an additional registration period.
