Spring is coming and so are plant sales at the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store Nursery!
The nursery will begin its annual tomato plant sale on Saturday, March 26. More than 200 varieties will be available for sale in 5-inch containers for $4.99 each.
Customers can pick out the plants at the nursery on the patio outside the Farm Store. The sale will continue while supplies last.
“If you want a certain variety, come early,” said Kelsey Swayze, the nursery’s outreach coordinator.
The nursery also will have herbs, vegetables, and fertilizer on sale for the home gardeners.
The Farm Store Nursery will have other plant sales this spring.
On Friday, April 1, fruit trees will go on sale in five-gallon tubs. Fruit trees that will be available include Beverly Hills Apple, varieties of peach, Santa Rosa plum, cherry, and – for the first time – Asian pears.
More than 100 varieties of pepper plants will go on sale on Saturday, April 23. They include sweet and spicy peppers.
All the plants will be available at the nursery on the patio outside the Farm Store, while supplies last. The Farm Store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
