‘Music Stories from the Cosmic Barrio’

Betto Arcos, a native of Veracruz, Mexico and now an Angeleno, is an independent journalist and storyteller. He is a frequent contributor to NPR and the BBC, and author of “Music Stories from the Cosmic Barrio.” At a virtual event on Dec. 3, he will share three stories about housing and music that explore identity, education, adversity, immigration, women’s empowerment and community building. It will be recorded as part of “Securing Justice,” a housing insecurity podcast by the California Center for Ethics and Policy in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.
