Alex Armendariz, a master’s student in regenerative studies, wants to become an advocate for sustainable food production in urban Indigenous communities. His dedication earned him recognition as a President’s Scholar, an award that honors exceptional graduate and undergraduate students annually and provides each student a $3,500 scholarship. “One of the difficult things as a student is financing your education, and the President’s Scholar scholarship allows me to not worry about money while I pursue my education,” Armendariz said. Please encourage undergraduate, credentialed and graduate students to apply for the 2021-22 President’s Scholar award, available through the Scholarship Fest, which ends March 2.
