The CSU Board of Trustees appointed Cathy Sandeen to serve as president of California State University, East Bay, and Erika Beck as president of California State University, Northridge. Sandeen has most recently served as chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage and Beck has been the president of California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). Chancellor Timothy White appointed Richard Yao as interim president of CSUCI and Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval as interim president of California State University, Fresno. Jimenez-Sandoval will replace outgoing President Joseph I. Castro, who takes over as chancellor in January.
