Decolonizing Education: A Counternarrative of Being Called a Savage

In honor of Native Heritage Month, join Sandy Kewanhaptewa-Dixon (Hopi), professor and chair of the Department of Ethnic and Women’s Studies, in conversation with Nicole Butts, presidential associate of the Office Inclusive Excellence and Diversity. The event is on Nov. 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. They will discuss the historical and present-day impact of colonialism and racism on indigenous peoples and their education.
