Following a national search, Hope Spadora has been appointed Senior Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) effective May 4. Spadora will provide senior-level administrative oversight for staff and management in FP&M, ensuring that the unit maintains a partnership and customer service-oriented approach in all of its activities.
With approximately 160 full-time employees, FP&M is responsible for the development and protection of the university’s assets and facilities. It manages planning and construction and supports the campus’ natural and built environments with more than 200 buildings on more than 1,400 acres.
Spadora brings a breadth of experience in facilities, finance, real estate and construction, having completed more than 590 real estate, design, and construction projects in over 120 countries.
She earned a Master of Corporate Real Estate from the Institute of Corporate Real Estate as well as a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz.
