COVID-19 Fraud Schemes

The Cal Poly Federal Credit Union is passing along the FBI warning for consumers and businesses about COVID-19 schemes to steal money and personal information. The agency states that three of the most prevalent scams are fake Center for Disease Control emails, phishing emails and  counterfeit treatments and equipment. Practice smart security measures by not opening attachments or clicking links within emails from senders you don’t recognize, not providing personal information in response to an email or robocall; and verifying web addresses.
