Jared Ceja has been named executive director of the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation and will be responsible for all business development, operations, and related financial activities that support Cal Poly Pomona.
Ceja, who previously served as director of the bookstore division at Cal State Long Beach, has also held senior positions at Chaffey College and Rancho Santiago Community College District. At the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, he will oversee an operating budget of $67 million, 250 full-time staff, and nearly 900 part-time faculty and staff.
Established in 1966, the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation provides a range of essential services for the campus community, including Dining Services, the Bronco Bookstore, faculty and staff housing, University Village, the Kellogg West Conference Center and Hotel, commercial real estate activities, and Innovation Village. The Foundation is also the largest employer of students on campus, providing invaluable work experience to approximately 1,700 students each year.
Ceja brings a wealth of higher education experience focused on business operations and management. Throughout his career, he has established a record of building teams that are collaborative and student-focused, while also reducing costs for students and the institutions.
Ceja earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands and bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara. He is also a Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP).
