Cal Poly Pomona is celebrating Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week with a series of events on campus From Nov. 18 until Nov. 22.
Combating student hunger is an important initiative for CPP. The Poly Pantry opened in 2019, providing a food pantry in the Bronco Student Center that has been serving students suffering from food insecurity. Donations to the Poly Pantry will be accepted all week, including at the “park and give” donation drop-off in parking structures 1 and 2 on Monday and Thursday.
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is designed to educate the public, draw attention to the challenges of poverty, and grow the base of volunteers and supporters for local anti-poverty agencies. The Basic Needs Taskforce and Broncos Care Basic Needs Program encourages donations and participation in their series of events over the course of the week.
