To help identify fraudulent emails, the Division of Information Technology & Institutional Planning (IT&IP) piloted an email feature on July 1 that added “[EXTERNAL]” to the beginning of subject lines and a cautionary banner to the top of emails sent by people outside of our CPP community. As of yesterday, Aug. 5, in order to be more user-friendly, “[EXTERNAL]” was changed to “Ex:” and the banner was moved to the bottom of the message.
