Given the recent outbreaks of measles across the nation and in Southern California, the L.A. County Department of Public Health has asked us to “Think Measles” so that we will recognize the symptoms, minimize its contagion and keep our communities safe. Getting immunized is the best way to avoid getting and spreading the virus. If you’re unsure if you’ve received the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccination, talk with your healthcare provider. People who are uninsured or underinsured can go to an L.A. County Public Health Center. See the attached “College Concerns about Measles” for a helpful FAQ sheet.
