A horsewoman, international philanthropist and doctor of psychology will speak at Cal Poly Pomona on her book about how successful women can empower one another.

Nancy O’Reilly, who is the owner of Amazing Horsewoman LLC, is the speaker at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center’s annual lecture and book signing on Jan. 29 at the AGRIscapes Center.

A licensed psychologist, author, and educator, O’Reilly recently published “In This Together: How Successful Women Support Each Other in Business and Life.”

The book includes thoughts, advice, and stories from 40 successful women across a variety of careers encouraging them to support each other in the workplace and in life, along with action plans on how all women can work together to break free from the bonds of gender inequality.

O’Reilly previously wrote “Leading Women: 20 Influential Women Share Their Secrets to Leadership, Business, and Life” and two other books, “Claim Your Power: Refine Your Life” and “Timeless women Speak: Feeling Youthful at Any Age.”

A Montecito resident, O’Reilly owns, rides, and breeds Arabian horses.

She is the founder of Women Connect4Good Inc. foundation and chairs the board for Take the Lead Inc., whose mission is to prepare, develop, inspire, and propel women to leadership parity across all sectors by 2025.

O’Reilly also has served on the Missouri Committee of Psychologists as an appointee of the governor and previously acted as director of a large employee assistance program and as a nationally certified crisis team leader in New York City after the Sept. 11 attacks.

O’Reilly’s lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP by Jan. 25.
