Nancy Robles, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has been named director of counseling and psychological services effective Aug. 13.
Robles is a bilingual, bicultural therapist with more than 22 years of experience in community mental health. Having served Pacific Clinics in a variety of roles and programs, she has extensive experience working with trauma, chronic and severe mental illness, and suicidality.
Robles brings experience in providing innovative mental health programs to reach clients/students from diverse walks of life. Her philosophical approach focuses on the “care of the whole person” and embodies caring of the mind, body, and spirit by respecting, recognizing and accepting each person’s unique circumstances, gifts and contributions.
Robles earned her master’s degree in marriage, family, and child counseling from USC and her bachelor’s in psychology from Cal State Long Beach. Currently, she is working towards her doctorate in education in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University.
