New Study Finds Cal Poly Pomona among Colleges Offering Most Financial Aid


Cal Poly Pomona is among the top 20 public universities offering upperclassmen the most need-based financial aid according to a new ranking by the Student Loan Report. Cal Poly Pomona was listed at No. 18, with an average need-based loan to juniors and seniors of $9,741.

The report was based on Peterson’s Financial Aid dataset, and “all values were relevant to the academic year 2015-16.” The values listed are an average of the need-based financial aid averages for juniors and seniors. Five other Cal State University campuses also appeared in the top 50: Sonoma State (19); California State University, Fresno (20); San Diego State (26); California State University, San Bernardino (30); and California State University East bay (41).
