Cal Poly Pomona is seeking an experienced developer to craft a plan for Campus South, the former site of the Lanterman Developmental Center.
The university has posted a request for qualifications on the university’s website seeking a developer, who can work in consultation with campus officials, to be responsible for project definition, approvals, entitlements, development, management and operations. Once a developer has been chosen, the university plans to seek input from constituents on campus and in the region.
Cal Poly Pomona and the Office of the Chancellor informed the CSU Board of Trustees in July that the university plans to move forward with the development of the 300-acre site, which is located about a mile from campus. The State of California transferred jurisdiction of the site to Cal Poly Pomona from the Department of Developmental Services in 2015.
