The Cal Poly Pomona Department of Theatre and New Dance will tackle complex topics such as race, immigration and relationships in its productions for the 2017-18 season.
The department will bring seven productions to the stage – three in the more intimate Studio Theatre, three in the Mainstage Theatre – as well as a dance concert billed as “In Liminal Flux.”
Among the plays to be showcased are “Intimate Apparel,” “The Whipping Man,” and “Real Women Have Curves.” All of the works aim to investigate complex issues in sensitive and thought-provoking ways.
Students are involved in every aspect of creating, managing and performing the shows.
Tickets for every show are $15 general admission, $12 for Cal Poly Pomona alumni (with valid alumni association card) and $10 for students, senior citizens and Cal Poly Pomona faculty and staff.
New to this season, we will offer a Mainstage Season Pass, which will permit patrons to see all three of our Mainstage productions an unlimited number of times for the price of two admissions.
