Leticia Gutierrez-Lopez, director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Cal State Fullerton has been appointed the associate vice president for Campus Health & Wellbeing in the Division of Student Affairs. Her appointment begins August 28.
At Fullerton, Gutierrez-Lopez served on the Student Wellness Executive Leadership Team where she led the development of strategies to scale up services beyond traditional center-based paradigms and designed cross-divisional behavioral intervention team strategies. She has more than 20 years of experience in the health services field with expertise in university counseling, psychological services and community mental health.
“Dr. Gutierrez-Lopez’s experience providing high quality mental health services to a diverse client population ranging from early childhood to adult students will serve the Cal Poly Pomona community well,” said Student Affairs Vice President Lea M. Jarnagin.
Gutierrez-Lopez earned her doctorate in psychology and master’s degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a cluster in psychology and medicine, from Pitzer College.
