Clear your calendars and prepare your resumes for the All-Major and High-Tech Career Fairs, coming to campus on this week.
Both fairs, presented by the Career Center, will occupy the University Quad from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28 (Thursday and Friday) and will feature hundreds of potential employers representing a wide range of industries.
The Fall All-Major Career Fair on Thursday will host over 150 employers who are accepting resumes and looking to network with potential candidates for internships and permanent positions. The booths will be organized by industry to make it easy for students of every major to meet with professionals in their chosen fields.
Some of the participating employers include Amazon, AT&T, the state of California, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, NASA, MillerCoors and several school districts.
The Engineering/ High-Tech Career Fair on Friday will feature employers with positions for those interested in the STEM fields, including Boeing, Chevron, Los Angeles County, Johnson & Johnson, Mattel, Lockheed Martin, Panasonic and PepsiCo.
Both fairs are free for current students and alumni. Students should bring their resumes and dress in business attire.
Career Fairs are only a fraction of the Career Center’s fall events. The center also offers information sessions with individual employers, career preparation workshops, networking events and a professional clothing closet, where students can take home business attire for free.
