Facilities Newsbreak
Good Morning Campus Community,
The California Independent System Operator (Cal ISO) of the electrical power grip has declared a Flex Alert for Southern California, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, June 20, due to high temperatures in the region. Cal ISO has urged everyone to conserve electricity especially during the late afternoon when air conditioners typically are at peak use. Everyone can help avoid power outages by turning off all unnecessary lights, using major appliances after 9 p.m. and setting air conditioners to 78 degrees or higher. Please see attached Cal ISO flier for additional information.
Campus air conditioning systems may be modified to conserve energy. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience. Please share this information with anyone who may not have received this broadcast. We appreciate your cooperation while we all participate in conserving energy during these high temperature days.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Facilities Customer Service (Ext. 3030), George Lwin (Ext. 3034).
Thank you,
