Avenue Q, a musical about 20-something college graduates trying to find their place in the world is coming to Cal Poly Pomona’s Main Stage Theatre.
The production, which is an homage to Sesame Street, features puppets from a fictional version of the show and human characters who grew up watching it. It follows the characters as they make the adjustment to adulthood and deal with the accompanying anxieties and stresses.
Avenue Q, which is one of the longest-running shows on Broadway, will be directed by Bernardo Solano, chair of the Department of Theatre and New Dance. It opens at Cal Poly Pomona Friday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. Additional shows will be on Feb. 27, March 3, 4, and 5 all at 8 p.m. Matinees will be on March 2 at 10 a.m. and March 6 at 2 p.m. To buy tickets, click here.
