Andrea DeCoudres, senior program manager for the College of Extended University (CEU), will join a select group of diverse professionals from the private sector, government, and nonprofit industries to participate in the prestigious Leadership Southern California Fellowship program.
The program is a 10-month development institute that brings together mid-to-senior level executives to explore the region’s assets and research public policy issues across the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside.
“I’m honored to have been accepted as a fellow,” said DeCoudres. “This opportunity allows me to better understand regional issues and explore ways to contribute to our region’s vitality through educational resources we can have here at Cal Poly Pomona.”
DeCoudres currently serves as the lead campus Workforce Investment Board, corporate training, government leadership, and youth programs representative. She is actively involved in developing new degree and professional development programs for the campus. She has a passion for fulfilling community needs and growth through education. DeCoudres believes that education is an integral part of solving the regions community and economic problems.
“Andrea exemplifies the professionalism and commitment to community that we value,” said CEU Executive Director of Global Initiatives Anneli Adams. “We have every confidence she will contribute greatly to the program, as well as use the knowledge gained to positively impact quality of programs we bring to the community.”
