Steven N. Garcia, vice president for administrative affairs and CFO, has announced his retirement effective Dec. 31. Garcia has decided to take administrative leave prior to his retirement date to facilitate his transition. A national search will begin in the fall.
Garcia joined Cal Poly Pomona in January 2014. Prior to that, he served for six years as the vice president for administration and finance and treasurer at Claremont Graduate University, and was the vice president for administration and CFO at Cal State Los Angeles for over 10 years.
The university is grateful for his service to Cal Poly Pomona and the CSU system and wishes him the very best as he transitions into the next phase of his life.
