Kathleen Street has been named the acting vice president for the Division of Student Affairs, effective Monday, Aug. 17.
Street, currently the associate vice president for Enrollment Management & Services, has provided leadership for the integration of services and programs offered through the offices of Admissions & Outreach, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Orientation Services, Registrar’s Office, Veterans Resource Center and a centralized student service model that will be introduced later this year.
Street has led enrollment planning in collaboration with other divisions to meet the university’s enrollment targets and revenue goals, including maintaining or increasing student diversity and academic profile. Throughout her 20 years at Cal Poly Pomona, Street has been involved in multiple initiatives related to strategic planning, student success, technology and service enhancement.
“I am excited to have this opportunity at a time when the campus is engaging in discussions that will shape Cal Poly Pomona’s future,” Street says. “The student affairs division is well-positioned to contribute to Cal Poly Pomona’s goals of enhancing student success and serving our local community.”
Street began her career in higher education as the director of financial aid at UNLV and later served as the associate dean of admissions and financial aid at Whittier College. Street has held leadership positions in regional, state and national professional associations including President, Nevada Financial Aid Administrators Association and Faculty, Snowmass Enrollment Institute.
She received a bachelor’s in sociology from UCLA and her master’s in counseling in higher education from UNLV.
Street replaces Rebecca Gutierrez Keeton, who accepted a faculty position at Cal State Fullerton.
