URP Professor Discusses California’s Drought on Cable Program

Posted on July 30, 2015

Meredith McKenzie, a faculty member in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, recently appeared on statewide cable news show to talk about the water issues California is facing.

McKenzie spoke with Brad Pomerance of Charter Cable’s Local Edition about topics that included drought-tolerant landscaping for homes, greywater reuse, the environment, and water usage by agriculture.

In addition to her role as a Cal Poly Pomona educator, McKenzie serves as a real estate broker, a trustee for the Altadena Library District, and she has spearheaded restoration projects on the Upper Kern River and the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena. She has been with Cal Poly Pomona since 2008
