University Police are seeking help from witnesses to a possible sexual battery.
The details are as follows:
On Monday March 30, at 5 p.m., a female student was unlocking the door to her residence in Cedritos Hall (Building 58), when a male suspect slapped her on her buttocks. He then fled on foot down the hallway and out of view. Prior to the battery, the suspect had followed her up the west stairwell.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 20 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build and light brown hair. He reportedly was wearing gray basketball shorts and a dark T-shirt and carrying a blue backpack.
University Police are seeking assistance from anyone who may have seen someone matching this description, may assist us in identifying this suspect or may have experienced a similar incident. If you have information, please contact University Police at (909) 869-3070.
