Enjoy free samples at the Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch this Saturday, March 7, while watching cooking demonstrations and getting up close with exotic insects and petting zoo animals.
The “Taste of the Farm Store” will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Farm Store, 4102 S. University Drive in Pomona.
Visitors can enjoy free samples of candy, cheeses, crackers, nuts, sparkling drinks, jams, salsas, dressings, orange juice and produce grown at Cal Poly Pomona.
Danny’s Farm will have its first Saturday Petting Farm next to the Farm Store from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children can pet and feed farm animals, including miniature horses, goats, sheep, rabbits and a pot-bellied pig. Admission is $4 per child. Food cups are $1 each.
In addition, AGRIscapes will hold “Bug Day at AGRIscapes” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to touch insects such as millipedes or the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and see moths, butterflies, cicadas and other insects from around the world.
Tickets are $2 per person for Bug Day. Children 3 and under are free. Proceeds go to the Cal Poly Pomona Entomology Club.
