University Police are seeking assistance from the campus community after a reported strong-arm robbery attempt on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Shortly before 8 p.m., a female student was walking near the stairwell to the north side of Building 13, facing the Engineering Meadow. A man approached her from behind and tried to grab her cell phone. The woman was able to turn away from the suspect and retain her phone. The suspect then fled toward Parking Lot C.
The man was described as 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a heavy build and wearing a red or orange raincoat and jeans.
