Dr. Rebecca Gutierrez Keeton has been appointed acting vice president for the Division of Student Affairs, effective Aug. 18.
Gutierrez Keeton has been part of the Cal Poly Pomona community for 25 years and has served as associate vice president and dean of students since 2005. Her experience in student affairs extends from University Housing to Judicial Affairs to the Office of Student Life and Cultural Centers. In addition, she serves as the primary advisor to Associated Students Inc.
“A proven leader, Rebecca makes it a point to ensure that the needs our students are a top priority. Her warmth and collaborative approach have helped create an engaging campus environment,” says President Michael Ortiz. “I am confident that student affairs is in capable hands during this transition.”
