Bernardo Solano, associate professor and chair in the Department of Theatre & New Dance, has written a play that currently being performed in a community-based production.
In “Dreams Without Borders,” immigrants recall their attempts to enter the United States as they wait at the Lancaster Detention Center to find out their fate. A cast made up entirely of day laborers is performing the play in Los Angeles for Cornerstone Theater Company’s Teatro Jornalero Sin Fronteras.
Performances will run through May 11 at East L.A. Rep.
