Cal Poly Pomona students with big ideas and an enterprising spirit will have a chance to vie for $10,000 in seed money at this year’s Bronco Startup Challenge in May.
The competition gives students the opportunity to pitch their proposals to a panel of judges, one of whom will be Efren Toscano, an alumnus who is founder and CEO of TechZulu. In the final round, competitors will have two minutes to clearly and concisely outline their concepts. Prizes range from $4,000 for first place to $1,000 for the crowd favorite.
Students who participate in the competition will also meet and network with local business leaders and venture capitalists.
The Bronco Startup Challenge is being sponsored by the College of Business Administration and Polyfounders, a student club that promotes entrepreneurship on campus.
The competition will be held May 15, 5 to 9 p.m. in Kellogg West. For more information, visit https://polyfounders.com/challenge/.
