The next phase of the university’s website redesign project will be launching at the end of the week. Phase 2a includes nearly 100 sites in several divisions across the university.
The redesign is a long-range project to make the university’s websites more intuitive for visitors to navigate and easier for content owners to manage. The new sites feature the university’s most recent web templates and a standardized header and footer.
Specifically, Phase 2a includes the College of Business Administration, the College of Education & Integrative Studies, The Collins College of Hospitality Management, the President’s Office, central academic affairs, several student affairs sites, several university advancement sites, the University Library, PolyCentric, and a new safety website.
Visitors are encouraged to send feedback or report problems either through a pop-up feedback button or the feedback link in the footer.
After Phase 2a is launched and fully transitioned, planning for Phase 2b begins immediately and will include other colleges and departments.
The first phase of the redesign, which debuted in May 2013, included the university home page and heavily used or needed pages. Key to the project is the adoption of a new content management system, which allows campus departments or programs to easily build and maintain their own websites. In addition, the university is able to standardize webpages across campus with a consistent look and feel.
