11:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Bronco Student Center URSA MAJOR : The 22nd Annual Unity Luncheon, hosted by the Latino Faculty, Staff & Student Association, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major. The theme of the program is “Through the Lens of Your Identities.” The keynote speaker is Jesús Salvador Treviño, a television director, producer, activist and writer. Mr. Treviño has documented pivotal moments in Mexican American history and is a living testament to the legendary events of the Chicano Civil Rights Movement. He also has directed a number of episodes from the television series Resurrection Blvd., Babylon 5, Crusade, Bones, Star Trek: Voyager, seaQuest DSV, Crossing Jordan, Third Watch and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Aside from these programs, he has also directed episodes from over thirty other series, including Criminal Minds, Prison Break, The O.C., ER, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Dawson’s Creek, Chicago Hope and NYPD Blue. Unity Luncheon is a university-wide tradition that brings together members of the Cal Poly Pomona community to celebrate the diversity of our campus, recognize students, faculty and staff with the “Diversity Champions” awards, and raise scholarships funds for our students.
