Cal Poly Pomona has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s best values in higher education.
The university is listed in Affordable Colleges Online’s rankings of the top 50 institutions offering affordability and a high return on investment. Cal Poly Pomona placed 23rd out of the 875 colleges and universities that were analyzed.
The rankings were developed using a formula that compares the cost of earning a degree with the average salary earned by graduates.
“This is an important list for prospective students to consider,” says ACO founder Dan Schuessler. “Many students don’t have the financial means or are not comfortable taking on mounds of debt to attend an expensive college. The colleges ranked here are affordable yet still provide students a solid return on their tuition investment.”
University President Michael Ortiz says the ranking reaffirms the university’s commitment to providing opportunity for current and future students.
“This recognition shows that the university is successfully pursuing its goal of providing a quality education that is accessible and affordable,” Ortiz says. “I credit our dedicated and hard-working faculty and staff with helping students succeed during a time of financial challenges.”
Georgia Tech claimed the No. 1 spot in the rankings. Other California State University campuses that made the list are San Jose State, San Diego State, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal State Fullerton.
