President's Video Update for Oct. 1

President Ortiz gives his video message on October 1, 2012.

President Ortiz welcomes the campus community to the start of a new year in his first video message of 2012-13. Already, there are many successes to highlight, including BroncoFusion, #CPP1stday on social media, Cal Poly Pomona Day at the Fair and the Hot Dog Caper.

During the summer, ASI leaders helped people new to campus register to vote. ASI will also host a polling both at Cal Poly Pomona for Los Angeles County residents on Nov. 6. In addition to the presidential race, California voters will decide on a number of propositions.

President Ortiz encourages the campus community to sign up for Matt’s Run, the annual 5k across campus. Matt’s Run, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, raises money for the Matthew Myers Memorial Fund.
