Free Flu Vaccines on Campus

Free Flu Vaccines on Campus

Flyer for the community flu clinic on Nov. 8, 2012 at AGRIscapes.

Free flu shots will be available to the Cal Poly Pomona
community on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at AGRIscapes.

The community flu clinic, co-sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Public
Health
and Cal Poly Pomona, is open to students, faculty, staff and the
public. About 1,200 doses of the vaccine will be available, including the nasal
spray
and preservative-free
versions.

It is recommended that everyone 6 months of age and older
should get a flu vaccine every year, except for those whose doctors recommend
not being vaccinated due to certain medical issues.

Students, faculty and staff should ride the Bronco Express shuttle A or B
to AGRIscapes,
located next the Farm
Store
. Limited free visitor parking is available in Lot U.

To bypass the main check-in line, participants should
complete and bring the registration form to
the clinic. Download the PDF form at https://1.usa.gov/XMdg9r.

Cal Poly Pomona is one of more than 50 sites of community
flu clinics organized by the county from October through December. For a list
of the county-sponsored vaccination sites and dates, visit www.lapublichealth.org.
