This academic year has been designated the “Year of Advising,” and the Graduation Initiative and Advising Task Force have teamed up to support the effort.
In addition to the numerous activities planned to enhance faculty advising, a new website has been launched to help faculty members advise students. Last year, a similar advising website for students was introduced to provide tips and resources.
AdvisorLink, the new faculty advising website, provides information on improving advising skills, highlights campus resources to share with advisees, and explains current academic policies. Updated information on changes that advisors need to implement can be found under the News sidebar or in the archives.
Searching for the correct form to give a student? You can find links to university forms on the site. The AdvisorLink Forums, housed in Blackboard, are open forums for advisors to discuss issues and questions that arise over the course of advising students.
