Professor B. Burns-Whitmore and graduate students Mervat Aljamal and Kelley Mitchell from the Department of Human Nutrition & Food Science are conducting a study to examine the effects of a Mediterranean diet intervention and follow-up on body composition and glucose levels. Participants will get free body composition and glucose tests, free extra virgin olive oil, and free diet counseling on the health benefits of a Mediterranean Diet. If you are a healthy man between 19 and 30, overweight, free of chronic diseases, non-athletic, non-smoker, and drinks alcohol in moderation, you may qualify as a participant in the study. The study (11-106) has been reviewed and approved by the California State Polytechnic University Institutional Review Board.
