Campus police are investigating a sexual battery that reportedly occurred Thursday, July 28, in a restroom near the running track and Parking Lot K.
The female victim entered the men’s restroom to clean the facility at
about 12:45 p.m. The suspect appeared suddenly, forced the victim
against a stall, exposed himself and requested a sexual favor. A noise outside may have startled the the suspect, and he ran away, according to police.
The suspect is described as male, black, about 40 years old, between 5’10” and 6’0″ tall, about 350 pounds, with dark skin and three skull tattoos across his chest. He had short, black hair, and clean-shaven face, as well as yellow teeth and a missing
upper right tooth. He was seen wearing a black scoop neck tank-top, blue
denim pants and white tennis shoes. He appeared dirty, had bloodshot eyes
and smelled of urine.
Campus police urge members of the campus
community to be aware of their surroundings, travel with others when
practical, and notify University Police immediately of any suspicious
