Gov. Brown’s new clean energy mandate states that 30 percent of California’s electricity must come from renewable energy including geothermal, wind and solar by 2020. This new law is expected to create many new clean technology jobs. Courses in the College of the Extended University’s Solar Energy Systems Certificate Program can help participants enhance their understanding of solar energy fundamentals, photovoltaic applications and applications in the construction industry.
