Ag Professor to Attend Sponsored Leadership Academy

Martin Sancho-Madriz, human nutrition & food science department professorMartin Sancho-Madriz, chair of the human nutrition & food science department, will participate in Class VII of LEAD21, a higher education leadership academy sponsored by USDA and the Fanning Institute of the University of Georgia. Sancho-Madriz has received a sponsored scholarship of $7,000 to attend the academy from the Fanning Institute and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the USDA. He is also being supported by the Division of Academic Affairs with an award of $3,400. His three-week intensive leadership training program begins in June. LEAD21 is designed as a leadership program opportunity for senior faculty members who aspire to become academic college deans, institutional directors or vice presidents.
