Denny Mosier, director of I&IT Support, has been elected chair of the Pomona Planning Commission. Mosier was previously vice chair and has served on the commission since January 2009. The vote was 7-0.
“I am certainly honored and humbled,” Mosier said after the election at the commission’s Feb. 9 meeting. “I am also excited to work with the public, city staff, elected officials and my fellow commissioners to help make Pomona a better place.”
The planning commission makes decisions and recommendations on land usage in the city of Pomona. Activities include decisions on conditional-use permits, zoning variances and the city’s general plan.
