Microbiology Senior Wins Presentation Award

Jessamine Quijano, microbiology seniorJessamine Quijano, a microbiology senior, presented at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students on Nov. 10-13 in Charlotte, N.C. Quijano, who won an award for Best Oral Presentation, presented her work on the susceptibility of experimental human prosthetic alloys to colonization by Staphylococcus epidermidis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Quijano is a RISE scholar and a member of Professor Steve Alas’ lab.
