Communication Professor to Direct Mark Twain Show

Mary Kay Switzer, associate professor of communication

Mary K. Switzer, associate professor of communication, will direct “An Evening with Mark Twain: His Own Words and Works” to mark the 100th anniversary of the release of the seminal American author’s memoirs.

The show, which Switzer adapted from Twain’s works, will be performed by Catch A Star Theatrical Players, a community theater group based in Beaumont and founded in part by Switzer.

The production will be held at the Beaumont Women’s Club Sept. 24 and 25, and Oct. 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. General admission tickets are $10; student tickets are $5 with ID. Call (951) 315-4253 for reservations.
