President’s Video Message for May 1

President's Video Message for May 1

President Ortiz gives his weekly video message on May 3, 2010.

During his weekly campus update, President Ortiz shares the outcome of a meeting he attended last week with leaders from the CSU, UC and community colleges, and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. At the meeting, Schwarzenegger said he would not sign a budget that did not include the restoration of $305 million to the CSU.

“To maintain momentum, everyone must get involved,” he says. The president encourages the campus community to contact their local state representatives and ask them to support higher education.
